A “To-Do” is a single step, single staff member activity like making copies or preparing a mailing. An “Assignment” is a single part of the larger “Project” and is part of a predetermined worklist or “Assignment Group”. For example PREPARATION would be an assignment of a 1040 Income Tax Return Project that might be followed by another assignment of REVIEW. And MAKE COPIES is a one of task, or a To-Do.
