Converting an existing file store or DMS and bringing it into WorkSpace is an involved process and we do not recommend attempting it on your own. At minimum, you should schedule an appointment with one of our training consultants for them to evaluate your current system and offer guidance in the conversion process.

If your documents reside in a Windows folder structure, a simple solution is to simply reference the old structure as opposed to converting it. This means creating folder shortcuts from the old client folder by right-clicking on it in Windows Explorer and selecting “Create shortcut”. You can then add this shortcut to WorkSpace as though it was a file and thus easily navigate to files in your old structure while all current and future files are managed by WorkSpace.
