Q: How do I refund a client an over payment?

A: There are really two ways to “refund” an over payment in WorkSpace. You can either increase that client’s A/R balance to offset the over payment amount through the use of the debit memo function. This way you can track the refund.

Or you can simply delete the over payment from WorkSpace. You can then perform the actual refund in your general ledger software to actually track it.
