Full-time employment, approximately 20% of time spent traveling nationwide to represent the company at public accounting industry trade shows. Training Consultant

OfficeTools, a leading Practice Management software provider, in the accounting and tax industry, is looking to expand its Training & Consulting Team. Our trainers consult with our clients and other accounting professionals in software implementation, setup and best practices in relation to our products.

We have an outstanding team of trainers that solve problems collectively. Our Team is fun, friendly, forward thinking and has an appreciation for innovation.

Trainers provide telephone/remote training for clients across North America. Trainers also provide On-site implementation, which includes travel, both in the US and Canada.

Expected Hours of Work

Training is a full-time position at our Palmdale, CA location.  Hours may vary and can exceed 40hrs/week.

Considerations

  • Ability to travel for multiple days a week is mandatory
  • Valid Driver’s License and Automobile Insurance will be required.

  • Knowledge of the Tax and Accounting Industry

Technical Support Representatives provide telephone support for clients with software issues, technical questions, or concerns connected with our product. The ideal candidate must possess excellent verbal, written and problem solving skills along with customer service experience.
Duties:

  • Assist customers by troubleshooting errors and bugs via remote connection.
  • Make decisions and recommend solutions to issues and problems reported by customers.
  • Document correspondence and details of all appointments with clients.
  • Document newly reported problems and errors in Jira.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Windows XP, Windows 7, as well as the Server operating system equivalence.
  • IT experience such as troubleshooting computer OS, network and security issues.
  • Experience in providing technical support.

  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) at multiple levels with customers.

Programmer/Developer

This Position involves high-level .NET programming using the Visual Basic and C# programming languages, as well web development using ASP.NET, HTML and JavaScript. Candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of .NET Framework 4.0+, ASP.NET development patterns (including MVC and Razor), and experience using common JavaScript frameworks (such as JQuery & AngularJS). Must be able to write code that is well designed, easily maintainable, sufficiently documented, and follows the patterns and practices set forth in the project’s description. Candidates must continually strive toward improvement and mastery of their field. Following best practices is required. Candidate must be able to work in a team environment, get along well with others, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in the accounting industry is a plus.

Telemarketing position will call on prospective leads to generate appointments for a sales team. Help communicate special events to the current client base. And help answer phones in the sales department.
